Urgent Shopping Alert for ad fraud. Advertisements on both Facebook and Instagram appear to offer brand name merchandise at unbelievable low prices. They often tell you are buying factory direct to justify the savings. The merchandise varies from Dyson blade-less fans to Samsung S10+ cellular phones to even Apple iphones. Or you may think you can buy a 2 TB (terrabite) SSD (solid state drive) memory stick for $39.95. These websites look professional and use actual pictures and logos of the companies mentioned.
They even offer you to make payment using PayPal giving the user that false sense of security. Often the websites are made using Shopify software that makes the online store look professional and real. The merchandise will be shipped from China or possibly Hong Kong or other country in Asia. Buyer beware because what happens is you will in good faith make your purchase.
Then you will receive email confirmations that the merchandise is shipped with tracking numbers. Sadly when your order arrives it is not as pictured and often completely different. The return procedure to get you refund insures that you will lose money.
In order to get your refund the United States Postal Service (our government) has made a deal with shippers in China to send there merchandise to you very cheap. But when you go to send the item back, to get your money back, you are charged extremely high shipping rates $40 to $60 dollars with tracking.
This is a complete racket and scam. PayPal makes you file a dispute and it often takes 30 days for it to be resolved. But it requires extensive documentation with photographs of what was shipped to you and copies of the original advertisement to prove that you were misled and fraudulently lied to.

Please I urge you to share this ad fraud alert. Know that this writer is a victim of this ad fraud. It happened not once but two times to me. And I went through hell to try to get my monies refunded. The Chinese company shows a delivery confirmation to PayPal and or your credit card company. But the issue is that what is delivered was not what you ordered. This adds to the confusion of the middle man because the seller claims that you took delivery. When in fact you received junk nothing like the pictures that enticed you to make the purchase. Please share because this is happening to many people and they are being assisted by the United States Postal Service due to the deal that was made with these nations to ship products cheaply into the United States.
